Destry Wilborn has served as a veteran of the Chicago Police Department for over 20 years. His experience on the front lines of one of the most dangerous, yet diverse cities in the country gave him a perplexed feeling. Having being afforded the experience of observing the pain and sorrow that violence left behind, but feeling ill-equipped to address it, motivated Destry on a quest to seek the purpose for existence.
Journey to Self-discovery is a non-profit organization whose vision is to teach young men between the ages of 10-18 years old, how to build positive self-reliance and reach the highest level of potential within any given environment.
The mission of the program is to teach, motivate and create a band of young men to become self-sufficient, purposeful, and productive changers worldwide.
There is an alarming trend occurring where 70% of our youth end up walking away from the faith when they get to or through college. This is in large part because they know church but aren’t certain that Christianity can stand firm against science and other worldviews. This conference will delve into the scientific, historical, archaeological, philosophical and moral evidence for the faith so that our youth and those that lead them remain resilient against any alternative doctrines and so that we don’t lose a generation of believers in the years to come.
Even if you are skeptical about Christianity or you are completely against it, this conference is a safe place to learn, raise concerns or ask questions about the Christian worldview.
